| Parkzicht in Veendam heeft in zijn bestaan een degelijke historie opgebouwd als muziekpodium. Er spelen sinds 1931 Groninger bands, waarvan hier enkele vermeld vanaf 1960: Henry and the Strangers, The Black Shadows, Hank & the Skyscrapers, The Jaguars, Shorty & the Stormers, The Jesters, New Adventures, Sideburns en Circuit. |
| Er vinden festivals plaats, zoals Night of the Guitars, Back to the 80's and 90's en het All Times Music Festival. Sinds 1988 is Appie Weij de eigenaar. |
